I was born and raised in Calgary Alberta and in 2013, I moved to Toronto Ontario to complete an Honours Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto in Mississauga. I ended up becoming the valedictorian for UTM after completing my program in Art and Art history.
From an early age I loved photography. I remember trying to capture the beautiful rainbows and clouds on my mother's old film camera and going through roll after roll. Right now my work has developed into a mixture of both photography and print media, specializing in the print form of mono printing. I use my photography as inspiration for my print technique which involves frosted Mylar and watercolour pencils. My new work can be seen in the projects tab under the title BED SERIES.
I am looking forward to becoming an art therapist after completing my Master's in counselling psychology at the University of Victoria. I believe that art can heal and change people and it is through this non-verbal form that we can truly find our words to heal.
Thank you for coming to view my work and I hope you enjoy.
